When a day here helps

The workday that turned into fourteen hours

You planned to be back by six. You are not going to be back by six. Your dog does not have to spend that alone.

Puppies who cannot hold it yet

A puppy left alone for nine hours learns things you will spend a year undoing. Somebody being around changes that.

Dogs who fall apart in a big group

Daycare rooms with thirty dogs are genuinely too much for some dogs. 3 companions and a fenced yard is a different experience entirely.

The trial run before an overnight stay

A day here is the cheapest way to find out whether your dog is comfortable before you leave town for a week.

Three dogs exploring the fenced backyard together

The difference between 4 dogs and thirty.

Large daycares manage dogs in groups because they have to. That works well for some dogs and badly for others, and you usually find out which kind you have after you have paid for a month.

Here your dog has at most 3 companions and a fenced yard, with Penny setting a calm tone. If something is off, we notice it the same hour rather than at pickup.

Before you book

  • We both work from home, so the dogs almost always have company. Between the two of us and our kids, the house is busy, and Penny is always somewhere in the middle of it. Dogs are in the house with us rather than in a kennel or a crate.

Try one day first.

It is the easiest way to find out whether your dog likes it here, and it costs a lot less than finding out during a week away.
